Payment of the trip via POS in the means of transport
In collaboration with BCR (Banca Comercială Română) and Telekom Romania, CTP Iasi is putting at your disposal an electronic payment method for the trip directly in the means of transport.
You can travel using our trams and buses both in the urban area, as well as in the metropolitan area, for two, three hours or a day, paying with a contactless bank card at the POS machines installed inside.
You can choose one of the four available prices, without commission or other fees: 4,00 lei for a 120-minute ticket valid in the urban area, 6,00 lei for a 120-minute ticket valid in the metropolitan area to the points of disembarking from the Municipality of Iasi, 8 lei for a 180-minute ticket valid in the urban and metropolitan area, or 13,00 lei for a 24-hour pass in the urban area.

HOW TO PURCHASE THE DESIRED TRAVEL DOCUMENT
CHOOSING THE PRICE
While waiting for a new transaction, the POS is configured to allow the quick purchase of a ticket valid for 120 minutes in the urban area, worth 4,00 lei, price displayed on the terminal screen. Press the key on the left, above the screen, and thus confirm choosing the default price.
PAYMENT
Place the contactless bank card to the corresponding sign on the terminal. After the payment is approved, which takes only a few seconds, the device issues a receipt on which all the data necessary for using it as a travel document is printed.

ACCEPTED BANK CARDS AND SECURITY
The POS machines accept contactless bank cards MasterCard, Maestro and VISA from any issuing bank in the country and abroad. The transaction takes place in a fully secured environment.
FAILURE REPORTING
If your ticket is not issued by the machine, we recommend that you call TelVerde CTP Iasi (0800 110 427) to announce the situation; the dispatchers are required to notify the intervention teams of BCR and Telekom about a possible technical error and they will fix it. If you happened to pay for two or more tickets in a row by mistake, please contact your card issuing bank to request a “declined payment” and the amount of money will be reimbursed.
